Just wanted to share a quick recipe that I tried out today for anyone who has a major sweet tooth like me, but isn’t trying to gain the quarantine 15!
I had some overripe bananas laying around and did what any modern woman does these days…went to Pinterest to find out what I could make with them! I wanted to avoid banana bread because while it’s delicious, I’d be the only person in my house eating it, so I needed to find something that would make both me and my husband happy! Enter this cookie recipe👏🏼
4 overripe bananas
2 cups oats
1/4 cup chocolate chips (or as many as you want, no judgement here)
Optional: dash of cinnamon
1. Preheat oven to 350.
2. In a medium sized mixing bowl, mash bananas.
3. In a food processor grind oats until they are fine. You want them to be smaller than their original form, but not as finely ground as flour. This is essential for holding your cookies together.
4. Add oats and chocolate chips to bananas and mix well.
5. Spoon cookie mix onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 for 12 minutes.
This recipe made roughly 26 cookies for me. I hope you try this out and enjoy!
